I have heard it asked time and time again, If God is so loving how can He let all this suffering on earth continue?
It actually is really simple to understand, but first you will have to see God as He really is to begin to see what is really going on with mankind. Most people take what God says to us in the bible as a set of burdensome rules and regulations that interfere with the way that we feel we should be able to live our life. On the contrary, Gods' rules and regulations are given to us only to protect us and give us a safer and better life while here in this world.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Gods' love for His People is to protect them from this thief that many are not even aware exists today! Most are so overtaken by this invisible enemy that they don't have a clue as to whom they are actually serving from day to day. Believe me, I served this invisible enemy for the better part of my life before the LORD opened my eyes one day to see how far I had gone from a Holy and Loving God.
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
I think it's safe to say that most families do a better job of protecting their children from God than they do protecting their families from satan. Most families seem to protect their children from the Word of God rather than to get them into the Word of God. So many seem to think that their children need to grow up and experience life, usually meaning the pleasure of sin for a season. Unfortunatly once they begin on this path without the knowledge of God, most do not find the narrow path that leads to everlasting life.
God commanded us to teach our children the Word of God and not to protect them from the Word of God.
Deutoronomy 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
When we read the bible it is so easy to see the problems that sin caused in the lives of the men God loved throughout the years. Many times these sins resulted in the death of thousands of innocent people as the after affects of sin moved through the earth like a raging fire. It is impossible for us to even begin to understand the deepness of Gods' love for His People and how He must feel to look down on the many lives of those He loves' and watch them be ripped to shreds because of the power of sin.
Already in my lifetime I have seen a few die and said to myself afterwards "If he/she had only listened to me". I am sure if I had died before I found Jesus there are a few men of God that would have said the same thing about me. It is hard to imagine how many times God has looked down on the deaths of so many for thousands of years saying the same thing "If they would only listen to Me" or "If they had only listened to Me"
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
We should by no means look at Gods' Word as a book of burdensome rules and regulations. God is love and the bible also says that He is a jealous God. When God loves someone be sure He will protect them moreso than a mama bear protects her cubs. If you came to this site lost and lonely be sure to leave here with the protection of a God that loves you more than you can imagine and will protect you like you have never been protected. If you don't know Jesus Christ as God then let me assure you that you do not know God.
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Phillip? he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father, and how sayest thou then, show us the Father?
It is IMPOSSIBLE to know God and His Character without knowing Jesus Christ. There are so many today that claim to believe in God but live like the devil and that's because they don't know Jesus Christ.
John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.
Jesus is as if the bible itself stood up and started walking! Start getting closer to the one that loves you and learn how to love Him back!
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep My commandments.
It's hard to know what He expects of us if we don't get into the Word of God!
John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.
As bad as things may seem at times, it is only by the grace of God that things have been allowed to continue as they are. Be sure that a Just God will have His way one day but by His Mercy and Love, He has been patient that many more may be saved before He does intercede with the problems of this current world.
2 Peter 3:9 The LORD is not slack concerning His Promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Because many do not know the Word of God, many are blaming God for the problems going on around them. It is very clear where the madness we see each day is coming from and be sure that it is not from the loving God of the bible! There is a spiritual war not visible to the eyes going on around everyone of us each and every day! The bible is the only weapon a person has to defeat the power of the wicked one. If you don't have your sword (The Word Of God) you are unarmed in the battle you face each and every day! As the end time battle intensifies, know what is going on around you and stand firm knowing it was written 2000 years ago that it would be this way.
Don't let the tactics of the enemy catch you by surprise!
Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
