Praise the LORD!
Well, tonight is the night in 2011! Yes, at the full moon here on October 12, 2011, the Feast of Tabernacles will begin according to Leviticus 23:33-44. The actual date for the feast to begin is October 13, but because of the difference in the way time is kept today compared to the way God set it, we have to start at evening on the 12th which actually begins the next day according to the LORD. If your still thinking that's just Old Testament your are only part right. As I mentioned in precivious blogs it is very obvious that the LORD gave these feasts to His People for a reason. NOT only did the first 4 of the 7 feasts represent His First Coming but these final three feasts will represent His Second Coming!
It is quite obvious that the 7 year covenant (Daniel 9:27) did not begin this year but know for certain it won't be long.
None the less, for us that are in JESUS the Feast of Tabernacles is one to know because after the other 6 are fulfilled, this is the one that we will celebrate with the LORD in eternity! The Feast of Tabernacles is referred to by some ancient Jewish sages as the "Season of our Joy". It is a 7 day feast with an extra holy day added at the end of it, which makes it in total a feast of 8 days. Isn't it interesting that "The Ten Minute Tribulation" shows Gods' calendar to be a biblical timeframe with 8 windows of time! The Second Coming of Jesus Christ will begin the 7th window of time since Adam and Eve and then we will begin the 1000 year period discussed in Revelation chapter 20.
This is also the feast referenced in the Book of John Chapter 7. John 7:37-38 In the last day, that great day of the FEAST, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink. He that believeth on Me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Have a GREAT week! God Bless You and be sure to tell someone on the job about JESUS! (Yeshua)
