What Did Daniel See?

Prayer ALWAYS makes a difference!
So, let's keep Egypt in prayer as it's spiritual condition continues to deteriorate. The last I heard, the death toll had climbed above 800 people and the latest talk is that the country will attempt to outlaw Islam, but, let's believe that when we see it!  Egypt plays a very important part in prophecy so let's keep it in prayer and watch closely as we approach "The Final 7 Years"!

Revelation 17:10
King James Version (KJV)

And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

1) Egypt  2) Assyria  3) Babylon  4) Medo-Persia 5) Greece  6) Rome  7) kingdom of the anti Christ

With that said, let's take a look at what Daniel saw!

In Acts chapter 8 we see that Simon saw the power of God working in such a way that he wanted to buy the gift of God, just as 5 of the virgins, some say, will attempt to do when they are left behind after the rapture. Sadly enough those 5 virgins will find out the same thing that Simon found out when he attempted to buy the gift of God!

According to most evangelist today, I would say Christians in Egypt must have already been raptured because they all seem to think that Christians will NOT go through the "Great Tribulation".  As Christian churches and government buildings in Egypt are being destroyed by extreme islamist, I can only wonder how many Christians were prepared to meet what Daniel saw about 2600 years ago!

You see, the "Great Tribulation" is NOT God's wrath upon the earth, but more so, persecution against Christians as the devil is cast to the earth and angry because he knows his time is short!

When we look at what Daniel saw it's impossible to believe it's what gave the inspiration for the left behind series, which in my opinion, is the most used teaching tool for believers today on the rapture.

Daniel 8:26-27
King James Version (KJV)

And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

It's also a little hard to believe, that what Daniel saw, was Christians in the last days sitting in movie theaters eating pop corn tying to learn what will happen at the time of the rapture.

Although Daniel said he did not totally understand the things he saw or know exactly when they would take place, the Word of God tells us that those in the future when the time of the vision would be fulfilled would understand it.

Daniel 12:8-9
King James Version (KJV)

And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

So, is it almost time for this sealed book to be opened?  and who could possibly be able to open it?

Revelation 5:4-5
King James Version (KJV)

And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

While we know that Jesus is the one that opens the sealed book, some say He is also the one on the white horse of the first seal.  The rider on the white horse of the first seal may look a little like Jesus and try to convince many that he is some type of Savior, but don't be fooled!  In the Sixth chapter of Zechariah there are also four horses that ride and we are told that they ride in a time of apparent peace.

1 Thessalonians 5:3
King James Version (KJV)

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon woman with child; and they shall not escape.

The rider of the first seal on the white horse has a bow but no arrows and is even given a crown.

Revelation 6:1-2
King James Version (KJV)

And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

The fact that this rider has no arrows to go with that bow is because he will appear to be coming in peace. He will even be given a crown, but, the Greek word for crown used here is not the same as the word used in Revelation 19 when the white horse DOES refer to our LORD and SAVIOR!

Revelation 6:2 ...... and a crown was given unto him.......

Greek- stéfanos, a circlet, wreath, or garland, oftentimes made of leaves and twigs but sometimes of precious metals.

Revelation 19:12 .....and on his (His) head were many crowns.........

Greek- diádēma – properly, a royal crown: "a narrow filet encircling the brow," a "kingly ornament for the head"

Truth is, these two words can be used interchangeably so as always we must continue to read the ENTIRE context to know what is truly being said as each crown is mentioned!

Some say the first rider HAS to refer to Jesus because he goes about conquering ,but, what did Daniel see?

Daniel 7:21
King James Version (KJV)

I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

I feel it's safe to say the apostle John knew what Daniel saw!

Revelation 13:7
King James Version (KJV)

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Some consider this negative information but I guess you'll have to argue with God about that!  The GoOD news is, Christians have already won the battle and we're just filling in the paper work.  At least if you know the Truth, you won't think God lied to you when tribulation does come!

John 16:33
King James Version (KJV)

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Matthew 10:28
King James Version (KJV)

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Have a blessed week and be sure to tell someone on the job about JESUS!
