Ain't NO Party like a Holy Ghost party cause a Holy Ghost party DON'T stop!
Thanks for dropping in and may the LORD bless you with today's blog!
Contrary to what most people think, it can be a blast to serve the living God! The only problem is, you may have the same problem that David had with the people around him as he tried to enjoy serving his LORD.
2 Samuel 6:16
And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window,
and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD;
and she despised him in her heart.
The real problem here is that when someone despises you in their heart you may not very well know it at the time. It is unfortunate but you can be sure that someone will always try to get in your way as you try to enjoy serving your LORD. I call this the humming bird syndrome. If you watch a humming bird feeder you will see it empty for long periods of time during the day but when they come they seem to all come at the same time and fight each other for the food that is there!
We must always remember that our battle is NOT with what we can see but is actually in a realm that we do NOT always see.
Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle NOT against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
What a Holy Ghost party it must have been on the Day of Pentecost. The bible tells us that when the Holy Ghost came down on that day, there were about three thousand souls that GLADLY received God's Word and were baptized.
Acts 2:41
Then they which Gladly received his word were baptized;
and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
Now that's a HOLY GHOST PARTY!
I feel certain that many people received physical healing on the Day of Pentecost and were dancing with joy as they saw the wonderful things that the God they had believed in for so long was now doing right before their eyes.
I believe it was Smith Wigglesworth that said there was a time coming in the church when it would be very hard to get people to believe in the miracle healing power of God because they would have so many other options to turn to. How many we see today going to doctor after doctor in their search for healing happiness only to find themselves a little broker, a few days older and the majority of time a little bit worse.
Mark 5:25-26
And a certain woman which had an issue of blood twelve years,
And had suffered many things of many physicians,
and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered,
but rather grew worse.
As we read the above verse, it really would appear to be one of the most depressing verses in the bible but hold on one more minute! or should I say one more verse!
Mark 5:27
When she heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched His garment.
The bible goes on to say that this woman was immediatly healed and be sure she did NOT receive a bill in the mail somewhere down the road! No wonder so many were being baptized as they saw all of the incredible miracles going on around them.
There are many times in the bible that ALL of the people were healed as Jesus preached to them BUT I can only wonder how many also lost their healing! Hold on now because I am saying this on a positive note and NOT the negative. How many got healed and went their own way like nine of the ten lepers? How many gave God the glory deserved and how many were too scared to say anything and just pushed it off as some coincidence?
Luke 17:15
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.
After Jesus healed all ten of these lepers only the one came back to give Him the credit due. We also see that this particular leper was a Samaritan, which was typically a despised race in the times of Jesus.
Luke 17:17-18
And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
We need to be more like Paul as we are blessed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and not let anyone hinder our preaching of it. We should not be ashamed to let others know of the miracles we have seen and received, regardless of the persecution that may come our way for sharing it.
Romans 1:16
For I am NOT ashamed of the Gospel of Christ:
For it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth:
to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
How sad that the nine lepers that were healed just went their way and missed the blessing that the one that returned to Jesus received. All God wants is to be given a little credit due for being the awesome God that He is and I must say His insurance plan by far exceeds any of those available today through the hands of physicians.
I wonder what happened to the other nine? We are not told BUT we know what happened to the ONE!
Luke 17:19
And He said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
Hebrews 11:6
But WITHOUT faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please Him:
for He that cometh to God must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
But WITH faith, it is POSSIBLE!
Have a blessed day and be sure to tell someone on the job about JESUS!
