God is GoOD, all the time!
What a nice week it has been in the LORD here in Virginia and I pray it has been the same with you as you continue in the LORD. Let me also mention that Amazon is having another one of those crazy sales on the book I recently completed and selling them cheaper than I can even sell them myself! If you have not read The Ten Minute Tribulation/The Final 7 Years, this may be your chance. As I prepared this letter, I checked the price and it is currently at $5.29, so get it why you can. I have seen it go up quickly when orders start to come in, so, forgive me if it changes by the time you get there.
It's funny that as many churches I have passed through, and heard many of them teach that there are no apostles today, it seems that almost every visitor here in Virginia lately has had the title of apostle. Although titles are just titles, we know the Word of God says,
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and for ever (Hebrews 13:8).
Many are also aware that the Old Testament was a shadow of the New Testament that would soon come.
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of those things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect (Hebrews 10:1).
What a beautiful story the Old Testament tells if we take the time to truly understand it. There are a lot of churches out there today that really don't want much to do with the Old Testament but that's like trying to live in a two story house with no first story!
If you have never studied the "Tabernacle of Moses" you have really cut yourself short, if, you really want to understand the "Kingdom of Heaven". As you study the Tabernacle of Moses you will see that it was actually a shadow of God's Heavenly Kingdom shinning down upon the earth!
If you clicked the previous link and had a chance to check out the diagram of The Tabernacle of Moses, it might not have made much sense at first glance, BUT, it actually holds a 7000 year plan for mankind! Now, there surely is not enough space in this letter for me to give you all of the details as to how these teachings fall into place for each section but the information is readily available for you to dig deeper if you really want to understand why these things are true. If you don't feel like digging, as always, you are welcome to email me with any questions you may have and I will do my best to answer it for you.
Starting with the FOUR post that held the curtain to the gate as you enter it, it is a reminder of the 4000 years from the Fall of Adam and Eve to the FIRST coming of the LORD Himself! The FIRST coming of the LORD is symbolized by the FIVE post at the next door that holds a curtain which was known as the "Holy Place". Interesting enough, these FIVE post also represent God's government that would be established at His First Coming!
Ephesians 4:11-12 And He gave some. 1)Apostles; and some,2) Prophets; and some, 3)Evangelists, and some, 4)Pastors and 5)Teachers: For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
This area beyond the FIVE posts, The Holy Place, also represents a 2000 year period of grace after the LORD's FIRST coming and then brings us to the last section of the tabernacle which is known as the "Holy of Hollies". This small area, that ONLY the High Priest, was allowed to enter into in the Old Testament, also represents the 1000 year reign of the LORD Himself! God set up His government at His First Coming to instruct His Saints how to enter into this most Holy Place!
Hebrews 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.
THE ALTAR, that you see as you first entered in, represented the sacrifice that took place at Calvary almost 2000 years ago! and THE LAVER, that was just passed the altar represented water baptism which was commanded by the LORD in Matthew 28:19.
Although Jesus Himself had been baptized nearly 3 and 1/2 years earlier, He now gives a new commandment to baptize in this verse of Matthew. We can clearly see that even though Jesus gives this new commandment in Matthew, no one actually began to fulfill this commandment and baptize in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost until approximately 50 days later when the Holy Ghost was poured out on the Day of Pentecost. It was then, on The Day of Pentecost, that Peter and the other apostles baptized about 3000 souls in that Name!
Well, I've barely even scratched the surface of this natural shadow that God gave us but I pray you can begin to see how we are to spiritually walk in the light of this shadow. Honestly, the teachings on The Tabernacle of Moses could go on for a very long time but I try to keep these letters as short as possible, so, I will cut it here.
Have a blessed week,
And be SURE to tell someone on the job about JESUS
