Praise the LORD!
In a world filled with social activities where the party scene seems to be the norm, what is really going on on the inside of those caught up in it? Having been caught up in what most would call the normal way of living today, I can speak from experience that while many people may look well on the outside, they are an emotional wreck on the inside! When the outside starts to feel and look as bad as the inside, you can be sure you are on the edge of being "Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired!"
When I quit drinking I noticed something very unusual at the liquor stores! Almost all of them have a sign that says "Spirits". Sometimes the devil is so open that we miss what he is doing right in front of our faces! What kind of spirits are they actually selling?
I guess it should have been obvious from the type of people I often met at those places or from the language that was always being used by most everyone around the places, but it all just seemed normal to me at the time. I can only thank God that I eventually got "Sick and Tired of being SIck and Tired!"
Many people today try to use the bible to defend their consumption of alcohol but what does the bible really say about alcohol and what does it really say about Jesus turning the water into wine?
Proverbs 23:29-39
Who hath woe? Who hath sorrow? Who hath contention? Who hath babbling? Who hath wounds without cause? Who hath redness of eyes?
They that tarry long at the wine, they that go to seek mixed wine.
Look NOT thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his color in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.
At the last it bitteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.
Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.
They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: When shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.
That's what I call "Sick and TIred of being SIck and Tired!" Why would anyone seek it yet again but yet it goes on and on like a never ending roller coaster ride! I would have to say that those are some pretty stong "spirits" they are selling there!
As far as Jesus turning the water into wine, have you ever observed there were "six" empty water pots that Jesus used on that day? "Six" is very important because it was on the "Sixth" day that God created man and therefore "Six" is the number of man. With these "Six" waterpots being empty, we can also see that man is just an "empty" vessel as he seeks happiness in just about everything outside of Jesus and "NEVER" to truely find happiness until he is filled with "JESUS!"
The bible tells us that this miracle of turning the water into wine was the beginning of miracles in Jesus' ministry. This is also the first miracle He needs to do in your life if you are "Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired!"
John 2:11
The beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth His glory; and His disciples believed on Him.
