Welcome!
There are a lot of opinions today on what it means to be a popular woman in today's society, but what really makes a woman a beautiful woman? As I watch them grow sometimes from an innocent child into a worldy competitor it can almost bring tears to your eyes. I have seen naturally beautiful women literally fall apart as they try to keep up with unnaturally beautiful women.
Everytime I see a natually beautiful girl fall apart it always reminds me of one in particular that never fell apart. There is one that every time I think of her it amazes me of how hard she held on to her God and her inward beauty as ALL of the other women fell into competition! This woman went from a beautiful name to a lesser name without it affecting her inward spirit and the outward beauty that shined from it.
She was a beautiful Jewish woman living in a time when the Jews were looked down upon and in fact there was some that wanted to see them extinct at that very time! Her natural Jewish name was Hadassah but due to the way the Jews were looked down upon at that time she had to take what would be considered a pagan name in order to keep from being persecuted because of her Jewish name. At this point Hadassah becomes Esther a poor and humble Jewish girl that would rise up one day to be a kings wife!
If you are a woman and have not read the very short and very powerful book of Esther you have robbed yourself of a great blessing. I really suggest you break down and read those short ten chapters and let the blessing fall within you! If you are a man and have not read this book, I strongly suggest you break down and do so and receive your blessing, as you learn where, to give your wife or future wife the example of a godly woman.
This is the only book in the bible that NEVER mentions the word God or His Name. In fact, there is NOT even a strong reference towards God, but, I personally have seen God in the most awesome way as I have read this book over and over. I believe anyone who reads it with an open heart will see Him in the same way. At times we see Gods love and protection for those who belong to Him and at the same time we see Gods unblievable wrath fall upon those that oppose the people God loves! In it we see the inward beauty of one of the most beautiful women of all times and we also see the most ugly and evil spirit of a man and his followers to oppose it!
As many women get caught up in the ways of this world and the deceitfulness of riches, I always think of Esther, and when it was her turn to receive anything she desired before she went in to see the king of her time. After the other women had had their turn and chosen the material things they wanted (Esther 2:13) we come to Esthers turn to choose what she would have to come before the king!
Esther 2:15
Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in before the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain the keeper of the women, appointed, And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all them that looked upon her.
Isn't it strange today that we think it takes tons of material things to obtain favor? Just watch carefully around you how people act as they continue to believe that more things will make them happy. It seems to me that the more people reach for on the outside, the uglier they become on the inside. What a woman was Esther (Hadassah) for an example not only to women but also to men as to what to look for in a woman! Don't get me wrong though men, because if you want a woman like Esther your gonna have to get right on the inside to get her!
I'm sure none of us will get it perfect while we are on the green side of the grass, BUT, thank God we have some examples to lead us in the right direction as we head to the other side of the grass!
God bless you!
