Praise God!
Pray for Mexico as Acapulco was hammered by a tropical storm on Tuesday last week. The reason I decided to mention this in this letter was a small part of an article I was reading on the situation there. The following is the small part from the article regarding the area where a Costco was looted and shut down due to the flooding. You can click the following link to read the entire article.
"If we can't work, we have to come and get something to eat," said 60-year-old fisherman Anastasio Barrera, as he stood with his wife outside the store. "The city government isn't doing anything for us, and neither is the state government."
The above was a statement made before 1:00pm the very day after the storm. I understand that many would be panicking in a situation such as this one but at the same time it seems that common sense would tell you that it would be very hard for anyone to respond in any major way within the few hours that had passed since the flooding. Chances are that almost everyone in the world will experience at least one type of major disaster in their lifetime and probably many more as the 7 year tribulation approaches. I feel certain that if a current article is obtainable from Acapulco just a few days from now, things may be a bit muddy but everyone will somehow have food and continue on as the clean up begins. The biggest danger in these moments won't be the waters or the lack of food but the people that panic in the early stages of the disaster is what you will have to be careful of!
Luke 23:31 King James Version (KJV)
For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?
As we just concluded all of the Fall Feasts of 2013, ending with The Feast of Tabernacles, which was last Thors day September 19th, we can praise the LORD for another year to come here on earth! I can't wait to see what God has in store for His creation before His second coming as we move closer to "The Final 7 Years"! As most of us would not think to miss out on the holi day "Labor Day", we pick up our bibles and just tend to shrug off the Holy Days" The Appointed Feasts of The Lord."
Leviticus 23:2 King James Version (KJV)
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
f you are not familiar with The Feasts of The Lord, you can read about all of them in Leviticus Chapter 23. If it's your first time reading about them, please don't expect to understand exactly what they are and what they mean to us today, but at least get a little foundation about them in you and let God begin to do the rest! Also feel free to email me with any questions you may have about them.
n the Churches today you will hear it said many times "If God does NOT judge the United States for the immoral behavior that is becoming the norm, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah"
Genesis 19:28 King James Version (KJV)
And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
While the entire nation of Israel came to a complete stop for The Day of Atonement, our September 14th that just passed, the United States continued on like it had received a Get Out of Sabbath Day's Card somewhere along the way! While I agree that Jesus might appear to be such a card for us, at the same time I would say the Sodom and Gomorrah principle would have to apply here also!
And if you will NOT keep My commandments....
Leviticus 26:32-35 King James Version (KJV)
And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell
therein shall be astonished at it.
And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.
Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.
As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.
It's easy for us to say The sabbath does Not matter because we are in the New Testament and these things do not apply to us today. Unfortunately, most under the age of about 30 don't even have a clue of what a Sabbath means. Don't get me wrong now, I may be in Wal Mart more than most people reading this, BUT, I can
remember some of the uproars of Christians fighting against Wal marts in their town because they would be open 7 days a week!
Regardless of what the current President may say now, this WAS a Christians nation for many years. A melting pot for Christianity perhaps, but none the less, the far majority were bible believing people. I would say that most in the country today still believe in god, but it sure is hard to tell what the name of their god is!
I have read before that the reason the United States has what we know as a "Week End", is because there was so much debate as to whether the Sabbath was to be honored on Saturday, according to the Old Testament, or if it should be Sunday because of the New Testament, that they decided to give us Saturday and Sunday as a Sabbath, so that you could have it the way you felt it should apply. I know that
sounds a bit like the "Burger King" (Have it your way) doctrine but none the less that is the way they did it.
I feel safe to say ,those who can remember when we honored the Sabbath here, there was a sense of peace in the air on those days, even if you did get a little upset at times that it may have been hard to get gas or find something to eat, if, you did decide to attempt to travel on those days.
Mark 2:27 King James Version (KJV)
And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
The Jewish people suffered greatly for ignoring God's Holy Days. It seems to me He would have to apologize to the Natural Branch if He did NOT give the Branch that was grafted in a little reminder as to Who is really in charge!
Romans 11:21 King James Version (KJV)
For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
God allowed the Jews to be taken captive, the temple and Jerusalem to be destroyed for NOT keeping His Sabbaths.
2 Chronicles 36:20-21 King James Version (KJV)
And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
To fulfil the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years. (70 years)
As we approach the end of the 6000th millennium since the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden I feel certain that once again the land is going to enjoy her Sabbath! After all, what better reason to meet Him in the air?
2 Peter 3:8 King James Version (KJV)
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Are you ready for The Day of the LORD?
Matthew 12:7-8 King James Version (KJV)
But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
Have a VERY BLESSED week!
and be SURE to tell someone about JESUS!
